AARON GRINHAUS, LL.B., J.D., LL.M. (Tax)
Aaron Grinhaus’ practice focuses on business and tax law. He regularly advises clients on business legal matters, commercial transactions, simple and complex tax and estate structuring, offshore and cross-border structuring and professional corporations. He is also an internationally recognized tax and Web3 legal expert, having published several legal text books on the subject and acting as the co-Director of the prestigious Osgoode Hall Law School Certificate in Web3, Blockchain and Metaverse Law.
Mr. Grinhaus frequently gives presentations on a variety of business, Fintech and tax law related topics and has acted as chair, presenter and lecturer through a number of organizations including the Ontario Bar Association (OBA), the Law Society of Ontario and Osgoode Hall Law School of York University, among many others. He is also heavily involved in the legal community having served on the Governing Council and as executive member and Chair of several section executive boards of the OBA, as well as steering committees with the Law Society of Ontario.
Kathleen Danganan
Associate Lawyer
Kathleen Danganan is an Associate lawyer maintaining a general and emerging practice in the areas of corporate-commercial transactions, corporate structuring and estate planning.
Kathleen’s practice focuses on corporate reorganizations, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate maintenance. Her practice also includes drafting, reviewing, and advising on commercial agreements to identify, address and navigate potential risks to the client.
Kathleen earned her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School of York University. Prior to law school, she obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Lyceum of the Philippines University Batangas and her Honours Bachelor of Arts from York University.
JASON LEE
Commercial Litigation Counsel, Practicing in Association
Jason Lee is a barrister with over 25 years experience of dispute resolution involving all types of litigation and alternative dispute procedures, such as mediation and arbitration.
He has represented clients at every level from individuals with contract disputes to transnational corporations engaged in complex cross border litigation.
Jason has also advised major corporations, in diverse industries, on litigation risks in key strategic decisions
Jason advises a number of financial institutions, including family investment offices and exempt market dealers on dispute resolution and other strategic matters. He also has a developing interest in regulatory proceedings involving professionals such as lawyers, doctors, financial advisors, and asset dealers.
Jason is from Liverpool, England, where he attended university and law school obtaining an LLB (Hons) before completing the legal practice course and being admitted as a Solicitor in the UK in 1998.
Having emigrated to Canada he completed a course of study with the National Committee of Accreditation and was called to the Ontario bar.
EDWARD A. MANCINELLI
Intellectual Property Counsel, Practicing in Association
For 20 years, Edward A. Mancinelli has assisted entrepreneurs, innovators, content creators and health providers grow their businesses from the ground up. In both private practice and as in-house counsel, he has served his intellectual property (IP) clients in the areas of trademark, copyright, domain names, trade secret and patent matters, including the filing of applications, copyright and trademark clearance, IP enforcement and litigation matters, preparation of assignment and licensing transactions, IP acquisition and portfolio management and legal opinions. He also assists various health providers with health regulatory matters.
Prior to establishing his current practice, Edward worked as in-house IP counsel for a North American developer of early-stage technology and Internet companies. He is also active in the healthcare sector, volunteering for not-for-profit health organizations, boards and committees, and assisted to establish a publicly-funded interdisciplinary health clinic in the Greater Toronto Area.
MATTHEW PIKE
Family Law Counsel, Practicing in Association
Matthew practices exclusively in Family Law. Matthew provides advice and represents his clients in all areas of family law, including divorce; parenting issues such as custody and access; financial issues related to the division of property and support; and child protection matters involved the children’s aid society. Matthew regularly attends court proceedings before the Superior Court of Justice in Toronto, Brampton and Newmarket, and before the Ontario Court of Justice in Toronto.
KENYAH COOMBS
Real Estate Counsel
Kenyah Coombs is a Real Estate lawyer practicing in association with Grinhaus Law Firm. Kenyah provides advice and presents her clients in all areas of real estate law, including purchases, sales, refinances, private mortgages, and more for residential and commercial properties. Prior to her legal career, Kenyah worked in the financial industry advising clients on real estate and mortgage funding. Kenyah is also active in the academic community supporting the next generation of lawyers at Toronto Metropolitan University’s Lincoln Alexander School of Law.
Kenyah holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from York University and an Honours Bachelor of Law from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom.

Steve Parr focuses on personal estate planning and business law, including:
- Wills and living and testamentary trust drafting, powers of attorney, representation agreements, alter ego and joint partner trusts;
- Corporate (secondary) wills;
- Small market M&A transactions;
- Corporate reorganizations including estate freezes, discretionary family trusts, rollovers and under sections 51/85/86 of the Income Tax Act;
- Professional incorporations of B.C. medical doctors, lawyers, dentists, realtors and various healthcare professionals
Steve also advises executors, administrators, trustees and beneficiaries on estate and trust administration matters and regularly prepares estate grant applications (grants of probate and grants of administration).
An entrepreneur at heart, Steve founded and sold a vacation rental company before establishing Parr Business Law in 2017, giving him unique insight into the entrepreneurial journey. Steve received his law degree from the University of Victoria in 2014 and also holds an B.A. in Gender Studies.
Steve was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2015. He serves as a Director of the B.C. Small Firm and Solo Practitioner Society.
Steve is a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) Affiliate member and a member of Entrepreneurs’ Organization Accelerator.

SCOTT NICOL
Alberta Counsel, Practicing in Association
Scott Nicol is an experienced corporate lawyer and member of the Alberta Law Society. Scott’s focus is on commercial transactions and litigation work, including drafting corporate and intellectual property agreements, addressing employment matters, and advising on insurance coverage and claims.
Scott holds bachelor of commerce and juris doctor degrees. Scott completed his J.D. degree at the University of Alberta, where he was awarded the Silver Medal for his strong academic performance, which placed him at the top of his class. Following his studies, Scott served as a judicial clerk at the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench in Calgary then worked for several years at a large national law firm.
Scott started Nicol Law Office to work more closely with clients and be able to offer flexible services responsive to client needs.
Scott spends his free time distance running, trail running, and cycling. He has travelled extensively, and even once tried blogging.

YVES PICARD
Quebec Counsel, Practicing in Association
Yves Picard completed his law degree at Laval University, where he provided his assistance as a teaching assistant in labor law and pursued graduate studies at the National School of Public
Administration in Quebec.
Early in his career, his interest in politics and passion for entrepreneurship strengthened his commitment to the business community in Quebec and Canada.
He is the managing partner at Picard Poitras Gervais Avocats s.e.n.c. and also works on
developing PSP Légal, a multidisciplinary network of lawyers, notaries, and corporate service firms providing quality legal and corporate services across Quebec and Canada.
Although he has expertise in labor, health, estate, construction, and real estate law, his practice focuses mainly on business law, particularly complex corporate structures, negotiations, and mergers and acquisitions. He has published two specialized volumes on labor law.
